The limit Apple puts on the number of external displays you can connect to pre-M4 MacBooks can be frustrating, but Plugable has a solution. Its UD-7400PD USB-C 5-Display Docking Station has no fewer than five display outputs, though you'll need to use the software that comes with it, rather than just plugging it in.
