Celebrity Dog Trainer Tells All Stars Are a Lot Like Their Pets!

The star of Netflix's Canine Intervention dishes on his A-list clients - and getting their four-legged friends to obey orders

As a longtime dog trainer to the stars, Canine Intervention’s Jas Leverette has worked with everyone from Kevin Hart to Steph Curry to Demi Moore. And he can’t help but see some similarities between his A-list clientele and their pups. “I definitely think owners are drawn to dogs that are more like them,” says the 39-year-old dad of two. (He and wife Nouhaila share Jasir, 3, and Nailah, 1.) Here, the owner of Cali K9 talks to In Touch’s Fortune Benatar about his foolproof training methods, his dream client and Hollywood’s most pampered pooches.

What do you like about working with stars?

JL: They are special people for a reason. So my favorite part is being able to connect with people on that high frequency. And some of the lifestyle things are cool, like getting to travel to different places.
