THE CAST OF OF THE TEEN DRAMA REUNITE IN HONOUR OF THEIR AILING FORMER CO-STAR

The show that launched his acting career, made him a household name and an iconic meme isn’t done with James Van Der Beek. In his time of need, the 48-year-old’s former costars rallied together for a Dawson's Creek charity event in New York on September 22 to draw attention to and raise money for those suffering from colorectal cancer via the F--k Cancer organisation.

Michelle Williams, 45, who played Jen in the millennial teen drama, organised the once-in-a-lifetime event, which attracted all of the show’s big stars – Joshua Jackson, 47, Katie Holmes, 46, and Busy Philipps, 46.

Unfortunately, at the last minute, Van Der Beek had to cancel his own appearance after coming down with a number of viruses amid his cancer fight. He told fans he was “gutted” before his frail but spirited figure lit up the stage at Broadway’s Richard Rodgers Theatre in a prerecorded video.
