Will Ferrell is a huge Reese Witherspoon fan, especially, he says, of her portrayal of Tracy Flick in 1999 cult classic Election. Chatting to WHO to promote their new romantic comedy, You're Cordially Invited (streaming now on Prime Video), the A-listers detail the secret to their on-screen chemistry and hint that Witherspoon's character, Margot, might be even more hilarious than Tracy.

Have you two worked together on a film before?

WILL FERRELL We haven't.

REESE WITHERSPOON Oh, we worked together on Saturday Night Live.

WF Reese hosted Saturday Night Live when I was there, so that was our one and only time.

There's an amazing chemistry between you guys in every scene. How did you get that chemistry? It feels so natural.

RW Even from the very first day we were on film, when we did a camera test and I literally looked over and I thought in my mind, "This is bucket list. I get to work with Will Ferrell in my life - I'm so lucky."

WF And I was getting to work with Tracy Flick.
