THE PAIR ARE DIVORCING AFTER NEARLY TWO DECADES OF MARRIAGE

They would’ve celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary next June but now Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban are set to end their marriage for good, just months shy of the milestone.

Multiple sources revealed the pair’s separation on September 29, with one telling TMZ that they have been living apart “since the beginning of [the US] summer”. “Keith has acquired his own residence in Nashville and has moved out of their family home,” explained the insider.

Just a day later the news was confirmed when Kidman filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”. The actress is seeking to be the “primary residential parent” for her and Urban’s two daughters – Sunday, 17, and Faith, 14 – with an “Agreed Parenting Plan” detailing how the girls will spend 306 days a year with their mum and 59 days with their father, but that all major decisions regarding the kids will be made jointly.

The former couple made their last official appearance together in May at the Country Music Awards. The following month, they were spotted at a football match in Nashville, before Kidman shared a heartfelt tribute to the country star for their 19th wedding anniversary on June 25.

Just three months later, their union is over – with Kidman listing the date of separation as September 30. “She didn’t want this,” another source told People magazine of their separation. “She has been fighting to save the marriage.”

Urban is seemingly keeping his mind off the split with his High and Alive Tour in the US, which will wrap up in the coming weeks. There have also been whispers of a new romance for the country singer, something sources tell TMZ Kidman “doesn’t dispute” but is “still shocked” about.

Meanwhile, the actress is said to have been focusing on their daughters. “She’s been holding the family together through this difficult time since Keith has been gone,” the TMZ source continued.
