JEREMY RENNER - My Favorite Role Is Superdad

The Hawkeye star opens up about fatherhood, the future of Mayor of Kingstown and finding a new lease on life in an exclusive interview with Us.

Jeremy Renner's life was forever changed on New Year's Day in 2023, when the MCU fan favorite was run over by a snowplow in a freak accident at his property in Reno, Nev. The incident landed Renner, 53, in the ICU, where he suffered more than 30 broken bones and a collapsed lung. With his condition dire, he prepared for the worst. "I'm writing down notes in my phone - the last words to my family," he recalled in an April 2023 interview.

Twenty months later, things have drastically improved for the Mayor of Kingstown star: After wrapping up season 3 of the hit Paramount+ series, Renner is focusing on Rennervation Foundation, his nonprofit organization serving disadvantaged youth. Most importantly, he's enjoying watching daughter Ava, 11, grow into her own person. "The accident really propelled us into a very adult relationship," Renner told Us while promoting his Silk partnership. "It's been wonderful." Here, Renner talks finding the silver lining with Us.
