Burning Prince Andrew Questions Answered

Prince Andrew is a prince no more. Buckingham Palace announced on Oct. 30 that King Charles III would strip his younger brother's title and evict him from Royal Lodge — less than two weeks after Andrew, 65, agreed to stop going by the Duke of York. “These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him,” the palace told Us, referencing Virginia Giuffre’s sexual assault claims. Charles, 77, and his wife, Queen Camilla, added that their “thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse.”

What is Andrew's name now?

• He will be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, effective immediately.

Why didn't Charles act sooner?
