Season 2 of the dystopian thriller deepens the mystery — and adds some fun

In the world of Paradise, the only thing you can count on is not being able to count on anything. When the series premiered in 2025, it appeared to be about the shocking murder of a former president in a serene, wealthy community, and the Secret Service agent, Xavier (Sterling K. Brown), trying to solve it. But creator Dan Fogelman loves a twist, and the idyllic neighborhood turned out to be a postapocalyptic bunker built inside a Colorado mountain. Murder was just one of many mysteries facing the town — and our hero.
