IT was meant to be their dream home. In May 2023, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez splashed out $60.8 million on a 38,000-squarefoot home in Beverly Hills. With its 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms on a 5-acre lot, the property had plenty of room for the newlyweds’ blended brood of five kids — her twins, Max and Emme, 16, with Marc Anthony, and Violet, 19, Fin, 15, and 12-year-old Samuel, his kids with Jennifer Garner — along with J.Lo’s mom. Indoor basketball and pickleball courts, a state-ofthe-art gym, boxing ring, sports lounge, bar and infinity pool made it an overthe-top palace suitable for Bennifer 2.0.

Their happy days there were few, however, and after much speculation about the health of their marriage — and 47 days without being photographed together — Jennifer, 55, filed for divorce on Aug. 20, 2024, their second wedding anniversary. Now insiders tell Star the former dream house has become a nightmare for the exes as it languishes on the market. “Ben just wants to reduce the price and unload the property,” says a source of the 52-year-old, adding that it represents everything that went wrong in their relationship. “Ben would never have bought a $60 million house like that on his own. He went along with it because he was in love with Jennifer.”
