Sir David Beckham vowed to use his knighthood "for the good of the UK" as he received the honour from King Charles last week. The football legend, 50, who was recognised for his services to sport and charity at Windsor Castle, described the accolade as the “proudest moment" of his career.

He was accompanied by wife Victoria, 51, who is now entitled to call herself Lady Beckham, and his parents, Ted and Sandra. He wore a charcoal grey three-piece suit designed by his wife — later revealing it was inspired by the King himself.

Speaking about the prestigious honour, Victoria said she had “never felt prouder” of her husband.

In a heartfelt tribute on Instagram, she wrote, “David, from the moment I met you 28 years ago, you've always been so proud to represent your country. Whether on or off the pitch, no one loves England or respects our Royal Family more, so to see you honoured by The King today is something I'll forever cherish.
