Newlyweds Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco have different challenges to tackle than other couples — namely, her bipolar disorder. The pair, who tied the knot in September, just opened up about managing the Hands to Myself singer’s mental illness together. “She’s having mania and she doesn’t know,” the record producer, 38, shares. “It’s such a delicate thing ’cause you’re not supposed to technically talk to the person, really, about it while they’re deep in it.” Though the 33-year-old does sometimes recognizes she’s in a heightened state, Benny’s low-key presence can calm her. “It is helpful to have a partner that will understand where maybe the temperature is at, and meet you where you are,” Selena explains.
