Canada's most eligible bachelor Justin Trudeau raises romance hopes as he steps out with newly single pop star Katy Perry

Dinner and a stroll around town is the perfect way to get to know someone special.

So it's no surprise that romance rumours swirled when singer Katy Perry – in Canada for stops on The Lifetimes Tour – was spotted with none other than Justin Trudeau.

The pair set fans on alert after dining together at Montreal's Violon restaurant. According to executive chef Danny Smiles, the duo talked easily while sharing a tasting menu of lobster, tuna and lamb gnocchi. Justin also accompanied Katy on a dog walk in Mount Royal Park.
