No matter what people say, it's hard to do it all-work, motherhood, marriage and to managing a mom, Eva Longoria has a life hack.
-
"He comes with me - he's always with me," says the star of Santiago, her six-year-old son with husband José "Pepe" Bastón, 56. "He has been on every set I have been on! When I direct, he is right there. When I act or produce, he is there. He knows how to shout 'Action!' and 'Cut!' He loves it." The approach might not work forever, but it's been doing the trick as the working mother navigates her way from one passion project to another.
Since rising to fame on the TV hit Desperate Housewives which ran from 2004 to 2012Eva, 49, has earned her stripes in Hollywood.
She has not only continued to impress in front of the camera but also paid her dues behind it, producing projects like her current Apple TV+ series, Land of Women.
Notably, she made her feature-film directorial debut with last year's Flamin' Hot, whose stories reflect her interest in promoting Latino representation (born in Texas, she's of Mexican descent).
Up next? Eva is the latest famous face to pop up in the Emmy-winning hit Only Murders in the Building, alongside series regulars Steve Martin, Selena Gomez and Canada's own Martin Short. "I was in awe!" she tells us of joining the star-studded cast.
Here, the ever-engaging actress reflects on a Desperate Housewives milestone, her showbiz journey and the valuable lessons she's learned along the way.
Eva, how does it feel to be among the cast of Only Murders in the Building?
