MAKING A SPLASH IN MANHATTAN THE PRINCE OF WALES TAKES A DIP IN THE EAST RIVER AND GOES FOR A RUN IN CENTRAL PARK

They call New York "the city that never sleeps," so it was apropos that the Prince of Wales got right down to business as soon as he arrived from London, undertaking an immersive engagement at an hour when he would have normally been at home in bed.

Donning hip waders, a life vest and a baseball cap, Prince William joined students who are helping to restore and rebuild the reefs that were once plentiful in Manhattan's East River.

The enthusiastic young team members were impressed by their royal visitor. "He was just super-nice," said one.

 

"I don't know what I was expecting, honestly, but it was very sweet and he loved to learn. He just wanted to learn everything."
