It's hard to believe she's 80! Hello! celebrates the ever-vibrant actress, mom and grandma as she marks her milestone

Goldie Hawn’s favourite gift has always been time spent with her loved ones – and that’s just what she got while blowing out the candles for her 80th birthday.

As always, the Hollywood legend was lovingly celebrated by her longtime partner, Kurt Russell, 74, as well as their children and grandchildren – the adoring family who are never far from her side.

Kate Hudson got the party started with a touching Instagram post for her mother. “To distil half of her life that I’ve known into a single caption feels impossible,” the 46-year-old actress shared, along with a carousel of sweet photos highlighting Goldie’s close bond with her kin. “I have been the lucky recipient of novels of love and wisdom from her. She is truly extraordinary, and as I celebrate her every day, today we all get to share in it!”

Describing her lookalike as a “queen goddess,” the Song Sung Blue star added, “We love you, Mama.” She capped her post with a lotus flower emoji in an ode to her mother’s beauty and serenity.

PLAYING FOR LAUGHS

No doubt, laughter was plentiful at the festive gathering because that’s what has defined Goldie ever since she shot to fame as the quintessential ditzy blond on the popular 1960s sketch show Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In.

The Washington, D.C., native had been focusing on becoming a professional dancer when she landed a role in Los Angeles on the sitcom Good Morning World. Her quirkiness on the show – or, as she puts it, “being a little bit absentminded and accidentally inverting my words, being nervous” – instantly caught the eye of Laugh-In’s producer.
