Hollywood icon Jodie Foster opens up about the joy of reinvention in her 60s
-
Jodie Foster has entered a new chapter in her life – and she couldn't be happier.
In a candid reflection on her career, the former child star has revealed that she has been relishing life since turning 60.
“I'm enjoying this last act,” said Jodie, who will be 63 in November. “Well, I don’t know if it is my last act, but I’m enjoying this particular act of my career more than ever.”
Speaking at an intimate press gathering during the Toronto International Film Festival to promote her new mystery, A Private Life – her first leading role in a French movie – the two-time Oscar-winning actress contemplated her evolution.
“I think every woman finds their 50s difficult,” she shared. “You don't know who you're supposed to be, and the culture doesn't have good references for who you're supposed to be as an actor.”
