With Giza’s ancient pyramids as a backdrop, Ankur Jain and Erika Hammond sealed their love in a stunning wedding ceremony whose emotion was only heightened by the majesty of one of the seven wonders of the ancient world.

This extravaganza came at the end of a seven-day trip across two countries for the history-loving tech billionaire and his former WWE wrestler bride, beginning with a safari in South Africa and ending with a spectacular firework display in Egypt.

LOOKING FORWARD

The couple got engaged in November 2022, after meeting at the boxing gym where Erika worked, and had been planning their big day ever since.

“I knew Erika was The One,” Ankur, 34, the chief executive of loyalty programme Bilt Rewards, exclusively tells Hello!.

“I wasn’t just reminiscing on the past, but rather cherishing our present and looking forward to our life together full of exciting adventures.”

Ankur asked prominent Egyptologist Dr Zahi Hawass to officiate at the ceremony, which took place on a circular platform.

Erika’s stunning wedding dress, a gold-accented sheer gown created by Rahul Mishra, embellished with golden flowers on the bodice and a grand peacock-like train, matched the splendour of the ancient surroundings.

“I’m not one to lose my words, but I was so emotional saying our vows that I completely lost my words for a moment,” says Ankur.

Despite this, it was the most memorable moment of the ceremony for his 32-year-old Texan-born bride.
