Lake County Airboat Club 22nd Annual Poker Run
May 22, 2025, was the Lake County Airboat Club's 22nd annual poker run. It started at 10 a.m. at Hitchens Island Marina outside of Astor, Florida. The poker run had a good turnout, with 120 poker hands sold.

TNT at the Outfall Canal in Hernando
On June 7, 2025, Nauti Boys Mat, Outlaw Airboats, and Cut Rite Outback hosted a Hernando TNT (test and tune). Several hundred airboaters parked in the shallow waters and the bank along the Outfall Canal to watch the airboats test their machine's power. Josh Wingate won the Unlimited class in his Cooper Strong airboat. Mostly everyone just had some fun grudge match racing and run what you brung. It was just a great day in the marsh along the Tsala Apopka Outfall Canal off SR 353 in Hernando, Florida.

I had the pleasure of going on June 14, 2025, to the Diamondback Open House at 3445 Grissom Parkway in Cocoa, Florida. It was a little rainy, however there were still lots of people checking out the boats outside and the inside operations where all the manufacturing magic happens.

Lake Okeechobee Airboat Association Trash Fish Tournament
This was our 17th year hosting a trash fish tournament on June 7, 2025, from 9 AM to 2 PM at the Okee-Tantie Airboat Landing on Highway 78 in Okeechobee. There were 19 paid registrations, some new participants this year and some regulars. Some were out there being very competitive, and others were more about just having a good time. Some just donated to our fund raiser and didn't fish.
