IN EARLY MAY, the global business and investment communities finally got the news that they'd been anticipating for years: Warren Buffett, the 94-year-old creator of U.S. conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway and one of history's most successful investors, announced that he would step down at the end of 2025 after six decades as Berkshire's CEO.
