Africa's Titans Of Industry And Business Win Big At Annual Award Gala

On November 12, the glittering 13th edition of the prestigious All Africa Business Leaders Awards (AABLA), held in association with CNBC Africa, brought together leaders and organizations from across the continent to honor the achievements of Africa's visionaries.

Held in Sandton, South Africa, the annual ceremony once again recognized the continent's boldest leaders, celebrating pioneers whose ideas and enterprises are shaping Africa's economic and social future.

“An AABLA is an honor many of Africa's most influential business leaders aspire to. Being among the winners affirms that your dedication and passion for innovation are shaping the continent and driving its economy forward,” said Roberta Naicker, Managing Director of the ABN Group, the organizer of the AABLA.

She added that the AABLA have become a chronicle of how African business has evolved. “Over 13 years, these awards have charted the rise of entrepreneurs who once competed for global recognition, and now stand alongside the world's biggest names. Their success reflects Africa's growing momentum, driven by the innovation, energy, and human development transforming the continent's growth story.”

In his welcome address at the ceremony, Sid Wahi, Vice-Chairman of the ABN Group, noted that the world's perception of Africa's potential is shifting from promise to performance, and that the continent's innovators are now defining their own narrative of progress.

“The conversation has changed in 2025. Africa is no longer waiting to arrive. Africa has arrived. In every corridor, from Kigali's tech ecosystem and Cairo's manufacturing zones to Nairobi's AI labs and Lagos' fintech sector, a new generation is proving that our destiny is determined by action,” said Wahi.
