According to Nature, farmers in Mexico have asked the government to 'bomb' the clouds as the country continues to experience its second-worst drought in a decade.

In March, the National Commission for Arid Zones announced that it would launch a rainstimulation programme in the states of Tamaulipas and Baja California. Cloudseeding involves the dispersion of crystalline silver iodide into clouds.
