Boom concrete pumps are increasingly in demand as projects get higher
Manufacturers of concrete equipment, namely, Schwing Stetter, KYB Conmat, Ajax and Vibrant are taking initiatives to design and develop machines that can handle complex infrastructure development projects with greater efficiency. They are also investing in R&D to come up with more advanced products, including customized solutions, and are framing comprehensive after-sales service packages to retain customer trust and loyalty in their brand.
The current surge in infrastructure projects across the country, including metro rails, high-speed rails and expressways, is driving up demand for concrete, and consequently, concrete equipment. This equipment, encompassing batching plants, transit mixers, concrete pumps, and concrete pavers, is crucial in different phases of construction. They are used for tasks like mixing concrete, transportation, pumping, and placement at designated sites. This boom in construction activity is contributing significantly to the concrete equipment market.
Infrastructure development projects are escalating in size and complexity, driven by the growing trend for high-rise construction and the demand for high-strength, homogeneous concrete. The industry is also facing tighter completion schedules. Consequently, contractors are under increasing pressure to seek out more technologically advanced and efficient concrete equipment to meet these demands.OPPORTUNITIES GALORE
In view of the current scenario, construction equipment manufacturers are looking at many opportunities opening up for them and are therefore developing higher quality and more productive machines to meet the needs of the construction companies. There is also a push by the government towards indigenization so that customers benefit through a lower cost of equipment and lower operational costs.
