How lighting design impact consumer behaviour in retail spaces

The Place Vendome Mall has welcomed the addition of French trunkmaker, Moynat. The luxury label recently opened the doors to its new home designed by Curiosity, a Tokyo-based design firm that worked alongside Italian lighting design experts Lisa Marchesi Studio, to deliver an intimate and contemporary space to shop.
The store layout is shaped by a series of large circular rooms, reminiscent of a French apartment in Paris, thought re-interpreted with a modern twist. What sets the Moynat store apart is a holistic and considered approach to lighting. The space boasts a careful balance of aesthetics and functionality, with lighting that accentuates the s architectural features and enhances the natural textures of the merchandise. Federico Palazzari, CEO of lighting supply company Nemo-Reggiani Group who collaborated with Lisa Marchesi Studio on the project, shares insights on the design journey of the store's lighing strategy.
