The 2023 omnibus bill heralds good news for Boeing

AFTER LAST-MINUTE maneuvering, Congress passed and sent a $1.7 trillion omnibus appropriations bill to President Biden’s desk for fiscal year 2023. In addition to funding the federal government for the upcoming year, the legislation includes noteworthy measures affecting the travel industry.

Passage of the bill gives Boeing a reprieve for its 737 MAX program with an extension of a deadline for new crew alerting systems.
