KALATMAK SPATIAL SYSTEMS: Redefining Spaces with Design at Its Core
Business Of Fashion

Rajesh Sharma was instrumental in re-imagining a general interior contracting company into a customised furniture manufacturing firm...
One can't ask for better proof of this pithy proverb than a company having the same client for 30 years especially when the client is Titan. It goes without saying that this relationship has endured because Kalatmak Spatial Systems completely imbibes the megabrand's ethos and delivers the interiors it promises.
Tracing its beginning to a time in the '80s when the furniture industry was unorganised and design took a backseat to functionality, Kalatmak Spatial Systems is today a recognised and well-respected manufacturer of custom furniture for the retail, hospitality, office, institutional, and residential sectors.
Charting a Growth Story Kalatmak Interiors was the name chosen by four friends for their interior contracting venture in 1989. It was a period in the country when having designers work on projects was practically unheard of and contractors and carpenters called the shots, a scenario that often led to uncoordinated efforts, delays, and an unprofessional finished look. This was particularly true for retail spaces.Recognising an opportunity, Kalatmak Interiors was established in Bangalore, a city poised on the brink of a huge expansion, to deliver high-quality furniture to retailers, work spaces, hotels, and high-end residences. In Hindi, the word 'Kalatmak' refers to anything that showcases master craftsmanship and an artistic eye. And since one of the core values of the new company was to blend creativity with functionality, this name was apt.
As the demands of the market grew, the company responded in equal measure and quickly gained the trust of its clients. A structured approach, customer satisfaction and quality products became the hallmarks of this small but successful venture.
Adopting a futuristic outlook
