How 15 Years of Agri-excellence is Seeding Success

For a decade and a half, Agrovision has been at the forefront of transforming India's agricultural landscape, particularly in Vidarbha, Maharashtra.

Born out of a pressing need to address the region's agricultural crisis, Agrovision has evolved into a powerful movement, empowering farmers with modern knowledge, technologies, and market access. Since 2007, this pioneering initiative has connected farmers with experts, innovators, and entrepreneurs, fostering a culture of sustainability, diversification, and entrepreneurship. While agriculture employs 55 per cent of the population of India, it seriously lags behind other 'mainstream' industries and services. Agrovision's fifteenth edition, scheduled for November 22-25, 2024, at PDKV Ground Dabha, Nagpur, promises exciting new features. The event will showcase innovations like ethanol-powered farm equipment, Drone Technology and sensor-based irrigation systems and many innovations.

Agriculture's slow growth, coupled with low income and outdated practices, has led to a significant decline in its contribution to the GDP. Nowhere is this more evident than in Vidarbha, Maharashtra, where falling incomes and mounting debts have created an agricultural crisis. In response, Agrovision was born in 2007 as a platform to educate and empower farmers, with a special focus on those in rainfed and drought-prone regions.
