YLEM

YLEM in the Big Bang theory is the primordial matter of the universe from which all matter is derived. I thought it was a cool title because I think we all started out somewhere to rise into something. It also stands for Your Limits Excel with Your Mind'. I do believe that your mind is what limits your skills. If you do not hold yourself back and let your mind take over you can achieve great things.

When I was a kid, I was watched all the epic videos and movies like The Windsurfing Movie and Minds Wide Open. I was amazed by these productions. The action, the places and the lifestyle all inspired me to windsurf and explore. As I grew up, I knew I would make one big movie project one day. After working many years with Matteo, we knew it was time to make this series. Luckily, we had the help of North which made the whole project possible. Each episode is an insane amount of work. Much more than I expected! Last year, we released three episodes. One of 12 minutes, one 19 minutes and one 22 minutes, which is the length of a full movie. It's hours a preparation, traveling, sailing and time editing. YLEM series was planned to be three episodes, but North really loved it and asked us if we could keep on going. Of course, we were down for it as we love to do this but with the big schedule of the world tour and a tight budget, we decided to do one bigger episode this year. It still turned out to be one month and a half in La Reunion and Mauritius, eighteen hours of footage and month of editing!
