Premier Marinas has acquired boatfolk and become 'the UK's leading marina operator' with a combined portfolio of 22 sites.

The acquisition of boatfolk’s 11 marinas 'for an undisclosed sum' was funded through investment from Premier Marina's owners, Wellcome.

The 11 formerly boatfolk sites are Rhu Marina on the Clyde, Scotland; Portland Marina and Weymouth Marina in Dorset; Conwy Marina in north Wales; Penarth Marina in Cardiff, south Wales; Royal Quays Marina in Newcastle; Haslar Marina in Portsmouth Harbour; Portishead Marina in Bristol; Deacons Marina on the River Hamble; East Cowes Marina, Isle of Wight; and Bangor Marina in Northern Ireland.

They join Premier Marinas’ sites of Falmouth Marina in Cornwall; Noss-on-Dart Marina in Devon; Gosport Marina, Universal Marina, Swanwick Marina, Trafalgar Wharf, Port Solent Marina and Southsea Marina in Hampshire; Chichester Marina in West Sussex; Brighton Marina and Sovereign Harbour in East Sussex.
