First TASTE

Recently, India witnessed its very first Formula E race, with the streets of Hyderabad around the Hussain Sagar Lake serving as a makeshift circuit. Over a course of two days, we witnessed some astounding action, right from the first Free Practice to the end of the race. Here’s a rundown of what happened.

MAHINDRA RACING HAD A MINI COMEBACK

Expectations were running high in the Mahindra camp, as they were racing on home soil. With experienced driver Lucas Di Grassi behind the wheel of one of the cars, chances of a podium seemed high. However, once Qualifying began, a different story unfolded. Di Grassi, or even the other Mahindra driver Oliver Rowland, failed to make it into the final eight in the Qualifying session, . Nonetheless, the Mahindra cars ran almost faultlessly during the race, with Oliver Rowland finishing in sixth place and Lucas ultimately coming in 14th because of a penalty for track limits infringement.
