The Basalt is Citroën India’s first attempt at a lifestyle SUV. It does get a lot of things right, especially the Coupe SUV styling and competitive pricing.

While most buyers will opt for the more convenient automatic transmission variant of the Basalt, it’s the manual variant that I am more keen on reviewing, especially with the enthusiastic 1.2-litre turbocharged petrol motor that produces 110PS and 190Nm.
