HERO XOOM 160

Consider performance-oriented 150-160cc motorcycles on one side — they're meant to be engaging, agile, and brimming with character.

On the other, you have the CVT-equipped scooters designed for practicality and everyday convenience. So, what happens when you blend these two worlds? You get a scooter that aims to offer the best of both. And that's essentially what Hero have done with the Xoom 160.

This is a machine that bridges the gap between the spirited agility of motorcycles and the effortless practicality of scooters, all wrapped in a maxi-style design. The Xoom 160 is Hero MotoCorp's answer to the growing demand for more premium, feature-packed scooters, and let me tell you, it's been a while in the making. After teasing us with glimpses at EICMA a couple of years ago, Hero finally brought the Xoom 160 into its production form at the Mobility Expo earlier this year. Now, after spending some time with it, we can finally delve into the details of what this scooter has to offer.

The Hero Xoom 160 is an unmistakable maxi-scooter, a design language we've seen from the likes of the Yamaha Aerox 155. It stands out with its bold, yet refined proportions, clearly inspired by adventure-touring aesthetics. The Xoom is draped in a modern, rugged design with chunky 14-inch alloy wheels at both ends. The tires are wrapped in a distinctive pattern, and the telescopic fork up front is paired with twin shock absorbers at the rear. The suspension units offer 97mm of travel at the front and 94mm at the rear, which does provide a decent balance between comfort and stability.
