A CELEBRATION OF THE HOME GARAGE

For an automotive enthusiast, the home garage is a unique space, one that combines the seemingly antithetical elements of form and function. It has to be a functional workspace to accomplish a wide variety of tasks, but unlike a formal business, it's personalized and decorated as the owner sees fit. No OSHA standards need to be met; personal mementos are encouraged. It's a glimpse into the owner's soul, aspirations, and mindset. Hopelessly cluttered, highly organized, or somewhere in between, the home garage is a direct reflection of the person who inhabits it. This is a celebration of the home garage, the people who work there, and the work that comes from that union.

BRENDON VETUSKEY Gassers and F-Cars

We admire Brendon for the quality work he's turned out from this modest two-car garage in Long Beach, California. By day, Brendon works for Mattel as the lead Redline Club die-cast designer for Hot Wheels; he's a lifelong car enthusiast who has applied his self-taught skills to produce impressive results. His 1967 Firebird landed on the cover of an issue of Car Craft in 2018, and his 1955 Chevy, the Triassic 55 Gasser, was on the cover of the June 2022 issue of HOT ROD. Since then, he's also built a '56 Chevy in a gasser style for his father and a 1969 Pontiac GTO for himself.
