It's been a busy old month but so good being back in the thick of it. Despite the great British weather, it finally feels like summer is here, and I've been all over the place with some really great events since we spoke last month.

As always, I've been flying the flag for Suzuki, riding an array of bikes and talking as much nonsense as possible to whoever wants to hear it. It's such a pleasure to have maintained a great relationship with the boys and girls at Suzuki since I packed up racing back in the day, and even though I'm often riding the same old machines, I always have a brilliant time. I think the fans enjoy seeing Suzukis on the track just as much as I do, made even more special now they don't have a big presence on the main road racing stage.

First up this month was the Barry Sheene Classic at Scarborough, which turned into a bit of a washout, but it didn't put off the spectators or the racers, and it was great to see full grids and some brilliant wet weather racing. I did my usual thing and took one of Sheeney's old RGs around for a few laps, but I can't say I was particularly excited by the conditions I'm going to blame the stonecold tyres and my age for the lack of commitment - I'm past trying to find the power band when it's pissing it down.
