Honda Civic Hybrid HIGHS: Fuel efficiency of a hybrid, Si-beating acceleration, as comfortable to ride in as it is engaging to drive. LOWS: No adjustable lumbar support, low-limit tires, quicker at the track than in the real world.
HYBRIDS WERE STILL an idiosyncratic option when Honda exiled the last Civic Hybrid nearly a decade ago. These days, gas-electric power is mainstream, and this revived hybrid shows why.
The hybrid powertrain effectively replaces the previously available 180-hp turbo four. It's part of a broader update to the 2025 Civic that includes a handful of design tweaks and alterations to the compact sedan and hatchback's trim and powertrain lineups.
