Electrifying the masses

The biggest brand in the two-wheeler business has finally decided to enter the growing space of electric scooters in India. Is it a case of too little too late or better late than never? We rode the Activa e: to find out

Let's start with a fun fact that most people wouldn't know about Honda. Their first electric scooter was introduced back in 1994, and it was called CUV-ES. Since then, the Japanese automotive giant has had other models along the way, some of which were aimed at personal mobility, while some catered to the commercial side of the market. However, its arguably most important and anticipated launch had to be that of the battery-powered Activa. It's important to remember that the Activa brand name is huge in our country, and has a loyal base of customers. In terms of the name, Honda has started on the right foot.
