IT'S doubtful there's any more important new Volkswagen arriving in 2024 than this car. It's not an EV, but the next-generation Tiguan. We've driven a late prototype of the all-new SUV, which will make its debut later this year.
The Tiguan has been a sales success since its launch in 2007, overtaking the Golf as the brand's biggest seller globally. So how do you replace such an important model in a world turning towards EVs? This is the challenge VW faces, and one that CEO Thomas Schäfer is confident it will succeed in tackling.
