IT SEEMS the level of vehicles we see at the top end of touring 4x4 builds is only limited by the imagination of their owners and the talents of the vehicle builders. While cost-prohibitive to most of us, this is a booming part of the 4x4 world with customers lining up at the workshops building them. “Most of our customers are looking for all-inclusive touring packages,” Kris says. “Most common requirements are GVM/GCM upgrades, interior upgrades – improved comfort in the seats, leather, sound-deadening and stereo upgrades – 12-volt battery systems and upright fridges are also a part of most builds.”
