MEZZOSCURO Italian company Labanto specialises in creating mirrors using an 18th-century silvering technique, and is known for its unique distressed mirrors that focus on the material itself, such as glass, liquid silver and oxidative minerals, rather than just the reflection. The company's founder, architect and artist Francesca Brinatti, creates one-of-a-kind pieces where each manual intervention leaves a unique imprint on the surface. This particular piece, called MezzOscuro, explores the two faces of a mirror as a symbol of duality, poised between attraction and distance, and light and shadow. labanto.it
