The ‘Niraba’ collection - a tribute to Odisha’s artisans by This and That Studio
November - December 2025

Niraba means 'silent strength' in Odia. Not the absence of sound, but the presence of stillness.
-
Niraba is a collaborative collection by This and That and Boito that reimagines antique Odishan doors through furniture, lighting, textiles, and fashion, bringing together indigenous crafts and contemporary design to celebrate silent strength, material memory, and living heritage.
This collection embodies that quality: a quiet luxury that holds deeply personal histories, adapted for contemporary spaces. It is a tribute to Odisha's artisans and the legacies they stubbornly continue to nurture and preserve. Bobei craft lends a tactile softness to the exhibits, while dhokra metal brings about an elegant stoicism. They work together to highlight bold structural elements juxtaposed with the intimacy of home. Doors that once guarded the entrance to temples and ancestral homes are reimagined as lounge chairs, dining chairs, barstools and sculptural lighting by Radhika - accompanied by Boito's fashion, art and lifestyle display.
