Dolly Parton joked last year that she and her husband Carl Dean were “sick” of each other after 55 years of marriage. “I’m sick of him and I’m sure he’s sick of me,” said the 75-year-old singer.
But the truth is the devoted pair, who tied the knot back in 1966, can’t get enough of each other. “We’ve been together most of our lives,” gushes the star, who married Carl when she was 20. “We really enjoy each other when we’re together.”
Which makes it all the more heartbreaking that Carl, 78, is now battling the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
