After being crowned the King of the Emmys, humble funnyman Jason Sudeikis is the toast of Hollywood.

“We had no idea folks would pick up what we were putting down and this is just icing on the cake,” the 46-year-old Saturday Night Live alum says of the success of his heartwarming show Ted Lasso, which took home a staggering seven awards.

“I mean, between, you know, the critics digging it and the academy, it’s just been fantastic.”

LIVING ON HOPE

A lot of the success of the wholesome comedy – which follows an American coach who moves to the UK to manage a struggling soccer team – has been put down to it premiering during the pandemic, but Jason thinks its feelgood factor is timeless.
