The Block star has finally found peace and joy after years of heartache

Following years of personal struggle, Darren Jolly has welcomed a surprise baby girl with partner Lucy Porter.

The former AFL star and The Block contestant, who split from wife of 15 years Deanne in 2019, shared the news to his ecstatic fans on social media last week.

"Welcome to the world beautiful Olive Rita Porter Jolly," the 40-year-old wrote alongside a picture of him cradling the adorable newborn in hospital.

"You are such a special gift and we love you so much."

Celebrity friends including The Project's Peter Helliar and The Block's Tess Struber and Michael and Carlene Duffy all congratulated the star, with many others expressing their happiness at seeing Darren smile again, particularly after a testing few years.
