It may sound like the plot of a romantic novel, yet this fairytale has come true for former actress Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, sixth in line to the throne, now just days away from tying the knot.

They reportedly met on a blind date set up by a mutual friend in July, 2016. Just weeks later, Harry whisked Meghan off on a romantic break to Botswana where they could get to know each other and celebrate Meghan’s 36th birthday away from the media.

Romance clearly blossomed for the pair on their African adventure as a few weeks after that, it was confirmed that the pair were officially dating. Meghan, who starred as Rachel Zane in popular US drama Suits, continued to juggle her professional commitments with frequent visits to the UK to spend time with Harry at Kensington Palace.
