Zahara Taking A Stand For Artists

A FRO-POP songstress, Zahara, is not happy about how organisers of the Beyel’ekhaya Pan African Cultural Festival are doing things. The singer says for an Eastern Cape event, which took place at Buffalo Park Cricket Stadium, East London, on 17 December, there is not enough representation of that province’s talent. She has been part of the event at least five times.

ADVOCATING FOR OTHERS

Zahara, who hails from the province, says the organisers should have more Eastern Cape artists on the line-up.

“Why don’t they want Eastern Cape artists? Whoever is organising this event should answer this, who is coming back home when they have a lot of artists from outside and one or two from the province,” she asks.
