Mapaseka Koetle-Nyokong opens a restaurant with her husband and a friend

ACTRESS Mapaseka Koetle-Nyokong has for years been known for her vindictive trouble-maker role on e.tv soapie, Scandal!. Recently, she followed her dream of becoming a business owner by opening a franchise, Gorge Grab n Go Café, in the prominent suburb of Sandton. “I am slaying in my lane at my own pace,” she says.

While celebrities might be perceived as people who have already made it because they are in the limelight, the opposite is proving to be true as more and more celebrities are seen exploring other interests that aren’t necessarily related to what they are known for.

CHASING DREAMS

“It doesn’t mean that when you are on TV, then you have made it. Celebrities also have dreams too and we all define success differently,” Mapaseka says.
