GLITTER, GLITTER EVERYWHERE

One of the biggest trends this season is glitter. So go all out, sparkle, shimmer and shine. “You can apply some shimmer eyeshadow or go for a glitter eyeliner. If you are adventurous you can even flaunt glittery lips,” states Sonic Sarwate, Global Senior Artist, MAC Cosmetics India. Use it generously or with caution, depending on your personal style, on your lids, lips, cheeks or nails (of course not all at once). You simply cannot go wrong with glitter this season unless of course, you let it sit all over your face like a primary art class gone awry. Make-up artist to hottest Bollywood celebrities, Marianna Mukuchyan, believes in working with a steady hand when applying glitter, especially on the eyes. “Glitter spreads very easily but is difficult to remove. Glitter flecks that are meant for the eyes, if spilt on the cheeks spoil the entire look. My secret tip to keep it tidy is to use some tape to remove the runaway glitter particles. Best is to apply a creamy eyeshadow base before applying shimmery eyeshadow so that it sticks to it and doesn’t spread all over.”
