Often celebrated for elevating relatable roles on screen, Radhika Apte lives her life with her feet stuck to the ground. After coincidentally becoming the face of Netflix India, Radhika continued to stay focused on and curious about the next big projects. “I do what work comes. It’s not based on the platform it is going to be released on. I don’t choose a role because it’s going to be streaming on a platform or because it’s going to be released in theatres. If I like the project, I do it.” Having worked in the industry for almost 17 years, Radhika has experienced a handful from the paparazzi-studded life of an actor to the redundant mockery of online trolls. Her love for performance and acting has kept her inspired through the unpredictable times of the pandemic too.

As her fan following expands steadily in many countries around the world, she truly appreciates maintaining her privacy. “I don’t like to be recognised in public at all. Because of having to wear masks in public, I’m thankful that no one is going to recognise me. I find most public places quite personal because you’ve blocked everything around you. And suddenly there’s someone staring at you literally for the whole time.” The actress who has nothing to hide has always spoken her mind with a clear and confident tone. Naturally, this has subtracted the controversial spice out of her media appearances and has helped keep it real.
