Virtual Reality Finally Hits The Sweet Spot

After many false starts, virtual reality is finally here. And Oculus Rift could well be this decade’s Google

Navigators of the cyberspace rainbow are at the brink of a mythical pot of gold. Considered no more than the fiction of trashy East European electronic music videos and the occasional Aerosmith single, virtual reality is finally here.

Although, it’s actually been around for a bit, oiling the dark machinery of warfare simulators of fi rst world armies (or so we would like to think), the consumer-ready version is now everywhere. While mobile phone makers from Samsung to One Plus have come out with their own VR headsets, betting on it to be the future, the original daddy is called Oculus Rift. And between all their sudden proliferation, VR could well be this decade’s Google.
