It would be an understatement to say that the mid-budget TV market has way too many offerings, with each entrant widening the competitive space even further than what it is. But competition is good for a variety of reasons - you as a buyer are spoilt for choice and as products increase in the market, the overall price decreases and the tech is more accessible.

By ‘more’ we mean all 58 inches of it in the form of the Acer XL Series at just ₹40,000. While pricier alternatives may have a slightly better premium design, Acer has gone with a more industrial, simpler, all-go-no-show approach and put the money where it matters. What really surprised us though is that the Acer XL has an all metal back plate that lends it the stability and makes it feel like a solid, quality product.

That's okay, but how's the picture quality?
