6 WAYS TO EXPAND YOUR CREATIVE POTENTIAL WITH THE HUAWEI MATEBOOK 16

Big ideas need a big canvas. That’s exactly the kind of thinking that has led to the HUAWEI MateBook 16, a no-compromise laptop with a huge screen and astonishing amounts of power. The only thing that’s small is its price tag, costing £999.99 when bought directly from consumer.huawei.com/uk.

While Huawei earned its reputation in the UK due to the quality of its phones, ever since the arrival of the stunning MateBook X Pro it’s also been winning awards in PC Pro and many other titles for its laptops – most recently the MateBook 16 itself walked away with a Recommended award.

Of course, a 16in laptop isn’t going to be right for everyone. But if you have a creative bent, or simply appreciate the extra space afforded by a screen that stretches 16in from corner to corner, then read on.

1 GO BIG

Huawei isn’t alone in packing a 16in screen into a sub-£1,000 laptop. But where rival machines often compromise with a Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) screen, the MateBook 16 includes 2.5K pixels. That is, a resolution of 2,580 x 1,680, and with the added advantage of a 3:2 aspect ratio.

Combined, that means your eyes see a gorgeously sharp screen even if you view two windows side by side. So you don’t suffer from the fuzziness or lack of detail that can plague large, Full HD displays. Nor will you suffer with dull colours. It covers 100% of the sRGB gamut with superb accuracy, with Huawei deserving kudos for its promise of an average Delta E of less than one (which was borne out in PC Pro’s independent tests). That means the colours you see will be effectively perfect.
